Care at the Beginning

Another experience during the National Conference happened. It was by the grace and guidance of Allah, I saw wisdom in things that happened to me without realized them until later (as of now).

Try to foresee what may come
On the second night, after the full council was held to hear the report of responsibility from the previous incumbent, general leader of Organisasi Shiddiqiyyah that lasted to over mid-night. I returned to headquarter of organizing committee and found that the participants list of commission councils that would be used in the morning hadn't been ready. Taking responsible to heart, I couldn't let it happen. I foresaw these almost 600 people would be lost, confused and asked question that would put the situation into chaos. So forgetting my sleepiness, I worked together with my three committee members who were still awoke while the others having a good night sleep. We prepared the list that had been done half through, readjusted the number of participants in each commissions, printed them, making signs, searched for the board to place the information, glued and placed them in several places where the participants could easily found and read them during breakfast time.

We worked up to 5.30 in the morning. When all was there, I left some instruction to my secretary to ensure the rest was taken care by him while I took rest after morning praying before joining the Commission of Work Program .

I was glad we had anticipated the situation. Because in the morning, I found people had gone to places where they should join the councils. All worked out peacefully. I woke up at about 7.30 and hadn't even had breakfast, after taking shower, being the last person leaving the room, I checked the headquarter a while and came just in time to support the discussion in Commission of Work Program.

As I looked back on that experience, and read the verse below, I feel grateful that again Allah had taught me another experience in following the Way.

64a. Care at the Beginning

What lies still is easy to grasp,
What lies far off is easy to anticipate;
What is brittle is easy to shatter;
What is small is easy to disperse

Yet a tree broader than a man can embrace is born of a tiny shoot:
A dam greater than a river can overflow starts with a clod of earth;
A journey of a thousand miles begins at the spot under one's feet.

Therefore deal with things before they happen;
Create order before there is confusion.

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
